Photographer’s Note

I took this picture in the opening of Bali Art Festival 2008.. There were many balinese in their traditional costume during this event..

Walking around with my camera, and doing candid photography... Everybody need a smile to face the day.. so, my TE friends, here is a smile from Bali for all of you to start the day..

Excellent portrait where I think it was a good choice to blurr one of the girls. Focus and sharpness are great, colors, lightning, details are also perfect. Good compositions as well.

Delightful picture in superb colour. A very pleasing portrait of the nearer girl, and good use of the shallow DOF to blur the one behind, using your very wide aperture and fast shutter. Good work.

That is one wonderful smile. And the 80-200 a wonderful lense for candid work as you are doing here. The f/2.8 clearly visible.

thanks for this beautiful smile, testimony of your stupendous character. The photo is done with a pleasant spontaneity and an excellent sharpness. Seeing the flower on the ear of these beautiful girls I feel nostagic of the perfume of the frangipani (in Italy it doesn't exist). Really a beautiful photo, compliments!

Hi Yoga,

Nice scene you have captured here. Lovely double portrait with such a great use of dof. The golden tones and the soft light makes it a pleasure to look at.

Didn't you take them one by one....I mean..didn't you shoot them one by one....hahahah....anyway, you know what I mean :o) You don't upload as many portraits as you used to - I know it's not all about portraits but you are so good at it and would love to see more!

Really hope we can go photo hunting again one day. I'll be back on Bali in May but I don't think I'll have time....but how about October? I'll come to you office when I get there.

Hi Yoga,

perfect portrait, perfect colours ! This photo make me smile, too ! I have been in Bali and Indonesia about 10 years ago. Maybe I should go again ?!!!
