Photographer’s Note

Photo taken at the same place as my previous post ( Kolympithres ), this one is a "reverse angle" take.

Almost halfway between two of the most beautiful villages in famous Zagori region, Megalo ("Big") Papingo and Mikro ("Small") Papingo, you can find a place of exceptional natural beauty. It is called by the locals "Kolymbithres" of "Ovires".

It is a small gorge, crossed by a stream called Rogovo, that creates many small lakes and waterfalls. I hope that you can see in the background a wall and an open door. There is one more similar wall. What's their utility? During the summer months the locals "close" these doors and create the most beautiful natural pools of the world!!! Just imagine, taking a swim in this beautiful place, surrounded by the most beautiful greek mountains!

A heavenly place that can keep your mind away from stinky political scandals in Greece, United States or elsewhere...

TECHNICAL INFO
I lowered manually the ISO to 50, used a small aperture (f/22), a circular polarizer, an ND-4 (2 stop down) filter and a tripod for a long shutter speed.

Me gusta mucho más que la foto anterior. Su vista, siendo vertical, ofrece una idea más amplia del lugar. Y además, el movimiento del agua sigue siendo hipnótico.

PD: ¡¡hoy hace un año (creo que es hoy... y sino fue ayer) aterrizaba en Atenas!! (y hay ganas de volver)

PD (2): creo que no recordaba bien del todo la otra foto y "puede" que la otra fuera la que diera una vista un poco más amplia

Amazing photo, Θα έλεγα αν έγραφα στα αγγλικά. Φοβερά χρώματα, εντυπωσιακό κάδρο και η κίνηση του νερού σκέτη μαγεία. Έχω κολλήσει με την πόρτα. Ο λόγος για τον οποίο υπάρχει εκεί είναι εντυπωσιακός και το ακούω για πρώτη φορά. Πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να πάω...

This reverse view is probably more adventurous. The high stone walls and the wide angle make this photo unique, not mentioning the long exposure.
