Photographer’s Note
this shot was taken just outside a monastery in thimphu, bhutan. the two monks refused to answer me when i wanted to find out whether i could capture them on camera. they just stood there casually with neither protest nor approval on their lips. i took their casual demeanour as a 'yes'.

I always feel intimidated when it comes to stealing portraits. It was brave of you to make that decision.
However, I don't think the composition is the most fortunate and the picture looks burned or over-exposed on the top right corner.
Thumbs up for your daring attitude so all of us can see. I wish you could provide more context about thse monks and their monastery.

Hello Nandini,
This is a quite nice double portrait of these relaxed monks. I made you a workshop where I cropped away the large white area to the right, thereby also putting the monks less in the centre.
One thing puzzles me: Why do you register all your pictures as being taken in Kolkata, when in fact they are from Bhutan and Meghalaya?
Best regards,
Gert
