Belle image, et elle a du gout, un sari rouge c'est tellement mieux qu'un sari jaune ;-)
J'aime bien comment tu as cadre cette scene et tu as la profondeur de champ necessaire pour l'isoler de l'environnement, par contre je crois qu'elle a un peu mal aux pieds ;-)

Très belle photo où tu as magnifiquement joué avec la lumière qui nimbe littéralement le beau sari de cette jeune femme.Elle se détache ainsi superbement de l'arrière plan et nous fait oublier ce chien à la tête floue au premier plan. Une photo très "inspirée"!

Salut Pascale,
Ca vaut la peine de monter ces marches! La lumière qui atteint cette femme, magnifiée par le rouge du sari et la transparence de celui ci, sur le fond neutre et sombre, ou l'on reconnaît tout même l'architecture de la place, fait ressortir ton sujet (très jolie, en plus!) Par contre, lève le doute dans mon esprit... je lis sur une critique:"nous fait oublier ce chien à la tête floue au premier plan"....
On ne voit pas vraiment, mais j'ai peur que çà ne soit pas sa tête??? ;D

Hello Pascale,

We have seen this beautiful woman before which was in a horizontal version, but here the vertical one also works very good.. Pity that her feet are touching the edge of the frame, but look at that light, it shines wonderful on her face and red scarf. The dog in front gives a nice touch to it, but your framing and that play with light is abolute wonderful here....very good work.

Salut Pascale,

La lumière est superbe, le rouge du voile est flamboyant et tu as bien saisi la concentration de la femme, qui ne se doute de rien! Le contraste avec le fond sombre est du plus bel effet. J'aurais préféré que le chien ne soit pas étendu là, mais bon, ça tu n'y pouvais rien! Par contre, tu aurais peut-être pu éviter de couper le pied, mais c'est vraiment tour ce que je trouve à redire au cadrage, qui est très bon.

Hello Pascale,

The light bounced off from the paper she was reading provides a perfect source of lighting for this portrait shot, and the red stands out very well under such lighting. I am glad that you placed(did you?) something to cover the backside of the dog to make this a more decent shot. The title is similar to the one I posted last year, but mine had the BG in red. You have good eyes to see this.

Cette femme est superbe dans cette lumière et cette transparence qu'on ne voit qu'elle .Très belle gestion de la PDC qui fait oublier le premier plan et puis ce chien est son compagnon ,il avait sa place !J'aime beaucoup ton cadrage incluant un morceau de pilier aux très beaux détails et le format est parfait

Bonjour Pascale
Un bon cadrage avec une utilsation habile de la profondeur de champ et un jeu réussi avec la lumière rasante.
La tache de l'animal au premier plan donne de l'ampleur à l'ensemble.
Une très belle iamge tout à fait dans l'esprit de TE.

Your picture capture the light perfectly, it's exactly on the spot, where the woman is sitting and reading, giving the shot an invisible DOF.

Beautiful composition. Sharp and very colorful photograph.
Must add that this photograph adds to the significance of education for all gender. In these part of the globe, the Indian subcontinent (India, Nepal, Bangladesh...) the girl child is often deprived of the basic necessities of life and often not sent to school for education. Your photograph advertises a girl reading.

Hi Pascale,

A beautiful shot with the lighting enhancing the red of the woman's sari. Some people may think the dog is distracting but for someone who has been to India and Nepal, its presence illustrates a reality of life there. Dogs are everywhere. This dog would not be a pet, but a street dog. They have no modesty about sleeping in the most inopportune places.

Good composition and your subject is clearly in focus. Superb lighting on her as well. Good lighting control despite the bright lights. Good job to blur the BG. Fantastic!

202 points ? allez j'en mets deux de plus, c'est mérité!
l'éclairage était là pour mettre en valeur ce magnifique rouge du sari, et tu passais par là pour capter tout ça. ah, l'Inde , c'est quelque chose.
Nous on y va bientot, décembre normalement, au pire Janvier. On retourne évidemment à Bénarès (entre autre) et à ALKA Hotel... à notre retour, on t'en parlera. Ok ?

Trés belle luminosité, qui éclaire le visage ainsi que le voile. Bonne balance des blancs et bon travail sur les couleurs.Le cadrage est aussi pertinent Le Bokeh est aussi intéressant.

Great portrait of the Nepalese girl, maybe trying to get news from the world outside the veils, or just curious about a particular event. Anyway, she seems entertained. Good framing and great colors. Congratulations!
