Photographer’s Note
This is the walking track to Delicate Arch, one of the most visited sections of the Arches National Park. That tiny red speck on the horizon is the arch. Unfortunately I didnt have the 2-3 hours to spare to walk there & back. I did try a zoom shot, & may upload it later, or as a workshop. More info here:
"Arches National Park is a U.S. national park in southern Utah. It is known for preserving over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch, in addition to a variety of unique geological resources and formations.
The park is located near Moab, Utah, and is 119 square miles (310 km2) in size. Its highest elevation is 5,653 feet (1,723 m) at Elephant Butte, and its lowest elevation is 4,085 feet (1,245 m) at the visitor center. Since 1970, forty-three arches have toppled because of erosion. The park receives 10 inches (250 mm) of rain a year on average."

Hello Chris,
you use the closing excellent as perspective together with the shadows.
The different soft colours care for a good composition.
Lovely area for a good strolls between the mountains.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Chris,
The twisting old wooden fence leads the eye graciously towards the red desert sands and the beginnings of rocky bluffs.
Wonderful texture and lines to this well detailed landscape.

Hi Chris,
The curve of the path is an asset to the composition. The fence is framing well the path. The point of view leads our eyes toward the rocks in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The quality of the light brings out the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hello Chris,
Always difficult when you're on a tight schedule ;-) I like the blend of red/yellow tones under the pale blue sky. The wooden fence makes a good lead-line and offers some interesting shadow play. Fine presentation.

Hello Chris! So you take us for another walk! I remember these hikes as way too hot when we were there in June but the early morning hour gave some chance to explore the area without "falling together", not many trees to hide from the sun :))) Very nice mood, calm, not many people, yes November, good choice ... Best regards, Barbara.

Bonjour Chris,
un très bel endroit encore peu colonisé par l"homme. Sécheresse évidente, aridité, la photo rend bien tout cela sous des lumières très hautes, que tu aurais peut-être dû adoucir un peu, pour relever certains contrastes.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Nice shot of this park, showing us some of the less famous areas. For me, Arches was like a fantasy land, with rocks and colours so fantastic that they were almost unreal. Thanks for sharing this and bringing back the memories!
