Photographer’s Note

Krakow-Skalka, which means "a small rock" in Polish, is a small hillock in Kraków where the Bishop of Krakow saint Stanislaus of Szczepanów was slain by order of Polish king Boles³aw II the Bold in 1079. This action resulted in the king's exile and the eventual canonization of the slain bishop.
Originally, a Romanesque church was built there. King Casimir III raised a new gothic church in its place and since 1472 this shrine has been in the possession of a cloister of Pauline Fathers. In 1733-1751 the church received a baroque decor. It is one of the most famous Polish sanctuaries.

Styczeñ, pó¼na pora i resztki s³oneczka na niebie tworz±ce ten ciekawy nastrój. klaustrofobiczny mur prowadz±cy ku przepiêknej bramie klasztoru i dziedziñca ko¶cielnego zarazem. Ta budowla bardzo przypomina mi klasztor i ko¶ció³ w Wo¼nikach w Wielkopolsce.

A więc spotkania TE ciąg dalszy. I warto pokazywać te zdjęcia, bo dzień był wyjątkowy.

Czesc Krzysztof,
Zdjecie doskonale oddaje klimat tego miejsca. Moze nie byloby takie "smaczne" gdyby nie pozna pora. Podoba mi sie to schowane, cieple swiatelko z lewej. Surowe, wiekowe mury prowadzace do kosciola pobudzaja wyobraznie. Bardzo ladna kompozycja.

Nie do konca mogla zima odslonic piekno architektury kosciola sw. Micha³a Archanio³a i sw. Stanis³awa Biskupa.
Ladny kadr,dobra ostrosc i kolorystyka.

Bonjour mon ami,
une scène qui a gardé tout son naturel dans les couleurs. Tu as très bien capturé ces lumières pourtant pas très franches, mais parfaites pour faire ressortir tous les détails.
Un excellent cadrage et POV.

Ciekawy stary obiekt, zabytek Krakowa ale jakos smutnawo tu wyglada ( nie dziw sie wiec moim kolorystycznym zapedom w takich przypadkach). Dobrze, ze jakis przechodzien na ulicy zalapal sie w kadrze.

Hello Krzysztof,
A good perspective down the walled driveway, which funnels the eyes towards the gate and the church beyond. It would be interesting to see more of the church, which is partially obscured here by the trees. The sombre tones and the snow make for a particular atmopshere.

A POV very well selected with this way which lern ons glance to the barrier and the monastery in the BG. The good managment of winter's light give nice contrast and colours. Good photowork.

Nice shot of this monestary complex. This is a photo that would be impossible in the summer as the leaves on the tree would block the view, but in winter we can see all. Well done!

piekny kosciol, w srodku zwlaszcza, mam kilka zdjec stamtad ale narazie sie powstrzymam :)
Miales o tyle lepiej ze spacerowales w mniejszej grupie - u mnie nie bylo jak ustrzelic bez obecnosci znajomkow w kadrze :)
