Photographer’s Note

If you look south from the citadel of Kruje, you can see the central valley and the hilly country of central albania.
You also realize what a magnificent stronghiold this must have been.
Taken early in the morning of a warm day with still some fof hanging in the valley.

A really breathtaking view! In your pin sharp photo one can detect a lot of details. This truly must have been a well fortified castle and a demoralising sight for aggressors. What a wonderful place!

une photo avec une profondeur inouie, tu as très bien chois de te percher si haut. La brume semble vouloir effacer l'arrière plan? Un avant plan très vert et très frais participie à la profondeur de l'image.

For sure, it is an interesting way to discover a country,landscape/people... by bicycle.
The early morning light was already quite strong and you handled it well. A pleasant view with the ruins adding depth and lots of character to the image. The vivid green is an eye catcher!

Hoi Gerrit,

Wat een ruïne in dit prachtige panorama beeld.
Albanië een arm land in het oosten, maar op zijn kouse voeten aan het komen naar een moderner samenleving.
Ik vind altjd mooi wanneer we zichten tezien krijgen van andere landen, zoals deze.

Very interesting place, beautiful layers of mountains throughout the picture, but I think it's a little bit overexposed, I would prefer it a little bit darker!

This is a beautiful view with nice soft colours on the sky that contrast with the vibrant green of the fields.
The sharpness is also nice, we can apreciate the textures of this old stone walls.

It's almost as if you were on top of the world as your POV seems to tower over the mountains. Certainly the edifice here must have been a good fortification from this height.

In this genre of shot I often like to insert a human figure to bring vivacity and a vertical item. It's anyway a good shot, sharpened and well enlighten.

Dag, Gerrit. Je hebt hier een mooie groene voorgrond. De ruïnes van de oude burcht geven een goede diepte aan het beeld en contrasteren met de overheersende kleur in de foto. Het landschap is heel mooi met al dat gebergte waartussen de vlakte geklemd ligt. Een beeld dat toont dat Albanië wel degelijk een mooi land en een bezoek waard is.
