Esta imagen es una vista del Chrysler Building desde la 5ª Avenida, a través de una de las calles que nos llevan hacia la Grand Central Station.
La tomé a las 10 de la mañana en un frío y gris día de otoño, y la luz tan difícil era un reto para cualquier fotógrafo. Intenté conseguir una exposición correcta a pesar de la gran diferencia entre la luminosidad del cielo y de la calle.

La elegancia y esbeltez de este icono de NY siempre atrae nuestra mirada, y nos invita a tomar fotos. Yo estoy seguro que es el edificio más fotografiado de la ciudad. Yo le llamo la Reina de Manhattan.

This image is a sight of the Chrysler Building from the 5th Avenue, across one of the streets that take us towards Grand Central Station.
I took it at 10 a.m. in a cold and grey day of autumn, and such a difficult light was a challenge for any photographer. I tried to obtain a correct exposure in spite of the big difference between the luminosity of the sky and of the street.

The elegance and slenderness of this icon of NY always attracts our look, and invites us to take photos. I am sure that it is the most photographed building of the city. I call him the Queen of Manhattan.

Great shot that captures NYC's urban jungle very well. The lighting conditions were far from favorable but they've been handled well. I definitely like that the building is slightly off center and the reflection of light on the shiny facade on the left looks beautiful as well.

Esta foto me trae recuerdos de mis dias empleado para Bear Stearns... me gustaba traer la camara y fotografiar los demas edificios desde las ventanas... para la complejidad que representa las condiciones de luz haz hecho un trabajo muy bueno resaltando los detalles.

No estoy seguro que este sea el edificio mas fotografiado, yo le daria ese honor al edificio del New York Times en Times Square... pero esa es una pregunta para quienes llevan estadisticas.

realment encara que la llum fos dolenta, la fotografia és d'una gran qualitat. El lloc des d'on vas fotografiar l'edifici és la clau de la fotografia!

Mmmmmm....basba! Això és el que penso de la foto. Li falla algo. No sé, potser el fosc d'abans. La idea era bona (crec) però li falta algo.

Hola Josep, tot i la dificultat de la llum jo trobo que el repte esta molt ben assolit, l' enquadre es molt bó, jo sens dubte no ho hagues fet pas millor, potser en B/N no es nota tant la diferencia de llum.

Bonjour Josep,
Les point de vue et cadrage décrivent efficacement une ambiance oppressante au milieu de ces architectures gigantesque et sans âme. très bonne image loin des paysages de l'Andorre. Belles couleurs adaptées et bonne qualité.

Bonjour Josep.
Avec JB vous nous donnez envie de parcourir cette cité fabuleuse.
L'absence de couleur dans le ciel fait ressortir celles discrètes des immeubles. Excellente composition qui met en valeur the Queen of Manhattan !

Hola Josep, the exposure is just perfect and I love the resulting mood. A bit dark, almost natural monochromatic, which only makes the 'pearl' of NYC shine even more in the distance. I wonder if you and JB are both making a competition to see who wins this city :)))) Anyway, this is an excellent artistic capture.

Les façades des buildings sur les deux côtés offrent un très beau cadrage au Chrsyler qui est ainsi mis en valeur et ressort très bien dans ce ciel laiteux. Belle présentation de ce superbe élément de l'architecture de Manhattan.

Ei Josep,
També estic d'acord en que malgrat la llum és prou dolenta, has fet una gran fotografia. És, senzillament, Manhattan i a mí també m'ha recordat el meu viatge l'any 1964, durant cinc díes, sola i meravellada per tot el que veia ...... Sleshores no tenia aquesta afició a la fotografia, més aviat a la música ... Molt bona la imatge.

The result is very monochrome apart from a couple of blue touches. In this case I think the white sky is a virtue of the image, even though mostly we try and avoid that. It allows us to concentrate on the graphics of the scene.

Great shot of New York and the Chrysler building. I like the fact that we can see the people and cars on the street at the bottom, and then at the top we can see the beautiful spire of the building. Nice work!

Hola mi querido amigo Josep.
Impresionante el Chrysler Building captada desde un buen POV, a pesar del día nublado y la mala iluminacion encuentro que has conseguido una buena foto.
Tengo dos días con un Herpex Zoster en el brazo izquierdo que casi no puedo escribir, aquí le decimos "culebrilla", muy doloroso por cierto. Espero que todos estén bien.

Me gustan mucho la nitidez y el color di cromo! Perfecta la composiciòn con "la reina di Manhattan" apareciendo al fin de la calle entre los otros rascacielos mas modernos!
Me gusta NY tambien , y antes de ir ahì, no me dì cuenta que l'arquitectura era tan interesante y variada! Pensé que era todo moderna!

Muito interessante esta foto de New york , gostei da escolha pelo preto e branco , sem duvida uma selva de pedra cá em baixo quase que não chega a luz do sol apenas no seu ponto mais alto do dia , em certos lugares deve haver muita escuridão ,parabéns!!!

This almost looks monochrome! The washed out sky for once does not hamper the scene, rather adds to it. Good idea of the vertical frame & also a good idea to put your initials on the parking meter :-). Well done!
