Perfect use of the B&W, with an interesting composition, with nice geometries.

Sevgili Korkut günaydın,

Öncelikle 300. kare için yürekten kutlarım seni.

1953-1961 arası senede en az 8 ay hergün iki defa inip bindiğim bu merdivenlere hiç bu gözle bakmamıştım. Bizim derdimiz o seneler, son zil ile birlikte deliler gibi koşa koşa merdivenleri inmek ve Karaköy meydanından geçen Beşiktaş-Fatih tramvayında boş bir koltuk kapmaktı !
Bu apayrı mimariyi aslında çok çeken olmuş ama inanırmısın bende bir tek kare bile yok buradan !
Çok iyi bakış açısı ve mükemmel grafik etki.

Umarım hayattaki nice merdivenleri çıkarsınız sizde...Kareleriniz basamak gibi,sürekli bir şekilde devam etsin,hiç koridorda durmayın.Hafif eskizlik var sanırım,çok yakışmış,nefis grafik etki.

What a precious creative image to celebrate your 300th post, Korkut. I almost feel dizzy with this view and I have the sense that that personage doesn't just arrive - he's been trapped in this labyrinth of life for ages now. The monochromatic presentation tells me that. If he was having fun, this would be full of colors...Congratulations and keep surprising and inspiring me.

Senden 14 Şubat fotoğrafı bekliyordum ama 300. de fena sayılmaz. 300 Spartalı konseptinde bir fotoğraf da olabilirdi aslında, kırmızı ve sepya renklerin hakim olduğu savaş sahneleri falan. Sahi seyretmiş miydin?
Taze taze çekmiş, tazecik tazecik paylaşmışsın. O meşhur merdivenler, senin tanıdık bakış açın ve hareket bulanıklığıyla yine çok güzel olmuş...

Korkut...let`s see the statistics(at the time I`m writing it - and still growing :-D) :

-300 uploads
-12989 critiques written -> 3139 members checked as useful
-276 whorkshops -> 682 members checked as useful
-300 notes -> 6690 times checked as useful
-145 photos became favourite(10 photos-3 times,6 photos-4 times,2 photos-5 times,3 photos-6 times,1 photo-8 times,1 photo-9 times,1 photo-18 times)...I didn`t count the one`s choosen 2 times...;-)...the list would be too long :-D...and I don`t like that ;-)...and many photos selected in different themes.
A gallery rich in almost every style,but there`s only one which can be distinguish from the thumbnail...Korkut style...high point of views,lines,diagonals,shapes,silhouettes,colors,sepia`s...and so on.

great use of patterns to create an association with the merry-go-round, and the blurred silhouette of the man adds an impression of speed, as if he was running really fast to stay in place. the touch of sepia works well to strengthen the mood, I like the result a lot.

You are one of the most creative TE members. Here's another example. Without the person the symmetry is perfect: with the person you break the symmetry but add a story.

Very nice shot. The different lines look magnificent and you've chosen a well thought through crop. The person breaks up the strict geometric lines quite well and the B/W accentuates the contrasts in the picture appropriately.

I remember your other pic from that place! It allows you to find nice contrasts becuase the lines are so rich here! The compo is really different this time. For me, it does not work as perfectly as the other, but it's still a top shot! no doubt about it!

Ah, the famous Camondo stairs - I think Cartier Bresson photograped them. I tried to find them when I was in Istanbul, but I got tired of walking around in the rain and gave up!
This is an excellent shot Korkut - great framing, and the figure is well-placed. I like the slight movement blur too.
