Hi dear TE Friends

This is a picture taken after a big rain. Behind this building, we have the center of Geneva city.

I don't know the name of this building, anyway I like the contrast and cold colours.

You can see another picture of the place in the WS.

Geneva is the second-most populous city in Switzerland (after Zürich) and is the most populous city of Romandie (the French-speaking part of Switzerland). Situated where the Rhône River exits Lake Geneva (French Lac Léman), it is the capital of the Republic and Canton of Geneva. A 2007 survey by Mercer Consulting found Geneva to have the second-highest quality of life in the world (narrowly outranked by Zürich).

Good morning neigborhood,
nice panoramic shot of this part of Ceneva.I like the perspective and the POV that create depth in the scene.The late afternoon light and colours are well management.Well done.

A splendid place , indeed . The picture is well balanced , but what i like most here , are the tonalities of water and sky : this one is superb , with its white and dark clouds , and the part of blue . I really like those skies .

Bonjour Aires,
une photo qui tire un peu sur les teintes froides, j'aurais balance les blancs un peu plus vers les teintes chaudes.
Une phto d'une très grande netteté avec un ciel superbe.

Bom dia Aires, pelos vistos tem a haver com a energia da água o que faz sentido pois está rodeado de água por todo o lado ;-) O edifício tem piada com a torre do relógio a espreitar lá em cima e o céu está bonito meio hesitante entre o sol ou voltar com mais chuva.

Very nice shot, with subdued light but nice highlights. You have captured the late autumn/early winter evening light very well, bringing out those bleak, cold colours so nicely, and preserving good detail in the shadowy areas. So, it's 3:45 pm?

Nicely composed shot with the building placed off center. The bridge leads the eye into the shot nicely. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

Hi Aires, I see that Geneva charmed you. And no wonder - nice place with lakes and high mountains. Interesting photo with this low woodden bridge. Rolex and white cross on the red - no doubt Switzerland.

Hello Aires,

A nive view with a beautiful festival of blues colors and an image riche in details well collected. Great balance in the composition with a large part for the bleu (water and sky). Beautiful reflections well collected too.

What really stands out for me in this is the amazing sky - so beautiful and delicate, and such a contrast with the solid buildings of the city. As you say, this is all about the contrast and colours. Well done!
