Photographer’s Note
i come back to architecture with this image: a view of the beautiful Vasco da Gama bridge in Lisboa.
This bridge is an immense cable-stayed bridge project which took years to plan and design and construct. The actual construction time of this structure represented a world record for a bridge of this scale. The center span is cable-stayed, while the approach spans are concrete, box girder spans, which were constructed using the balance cantilever method. On March 31, 1998 the Vasco da Gama Bridge was officially open.

hi Valeria,
I like a lot the illusion that the bridge is floating on thin air, and the cables remind me of strings in some celestial musical instrument. I'm not a big fan of vignetting, but here it works really well. excellent work, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Valeria,
this is a good architecture post, good light and colors control with the pile of the bridge in the light and a sort of dark halo around, on the corners.

Ciao Valeria, sotto consiglio di amici, ho fatto un giro nella tua galleria e sono rimasto affascinato dalla capacità di giocare con le linee e le luci. Esattamente come in questa splendida foto. Tutto eccellente. Bravissima.

Ciao Valeria! Very special ambiance, a somber mood without being sad. Bridges connect. I like the dark sides in the sky, they add something not real that I like without being from another planet, it is still real but adds a very Valeria-like mood to the scene :))) Very good, very special ... Happy Sunday, Barbara.

Hello Valeria,
Great composition to present this impressive bridge.
I am usually not a fan of vignettage but here, it works quite well.
Superb sky as a foreground.

Ciao Valeria :-)
I really dig the dark tones and the strong vignetting here. Together with the low subtly rendered cloud bank and the hard contrast you elevate this famous bridge to another dimension. Very good work !
Have a fine start of the week :-)))
Ciao!

Hi Valeria. Very nice shot of Vasco da Gama Bridge. I like the way you framed it and the light is very nice, almost unreal: I've never seen it like that and I see it everyday. Great job. Have a nice weekend. Paulo

Ciao Valeria,
Buona serata
