New Generation... My 400th post! Photo

My dear TE Friends!
I didn't write the note below this photo intentionally, because I treat this capture symbolic... This is new African generation and I think everybody should think individually were they are running... Where all Africa head for...?

Hi Andrzej and congrats on this 400th post. This is an interesting image. I am not why the children are running but you captured this scene well. The light and depth of field work very nicely here. Good work :-)

A very powerful image to celebrate your number 400. Congratulations, Andrzej!

Excellent crop at the top so we don't see the horizon. Yet the end of the asphalt road gives us some kind of marker in the top.

The image of the children running is a very ambiguous one to me. On the one hand it expresses joy, power and youth, but on the other hand: why are they running? Is it friendliness and curiosity...or do they just expect passing tourists to throw them a pencil? (Maybe a note later could clear this up, but of course, that would destroy the appeal of this ambiguity.)

Hello Andrzej,
Congratulations on your #400. This is a fine picture whatever way it's seen and interpreted. There's movement and depth in the composition, but like BennyV I get a strong feeling that the children are running towards you in the desperate hope of receiving a gift of some kind. In no way does that diminish the value of this photo, though.

cześć Andrzeju, to teraz ja gratuluję Tobie 400. zdjęcia! Bardzo fajna scena, świetnie uchwyciłes te biegnące dzieci. Najbardziej podobaja mi sie ci malcy na przedzie. A ten jeden biedak przystanął. Dokąd tak biegną? Ja to widzę symbolicznie, że ku lepszej przyszłości dla nich i Afryki. Świetne zdjęcie. Pozdrawiam

To jest wielkie zdjęcie, nie tylko dlatego, że dałeś go na jubileusz (gratulacje!). Jest wielkie, bo jest symboliczne i piękne.

congratulations for your 400th, a lot of countries discovered, a lot of people met...
Children can be a hope for Africa's future. It's up to them, to run to best conditions of life for african people. Even if for the moment they just run to have some gift or food from you (if they do, here).

A very powerful image to celebrate your 400th, that is a lot of photos you have shared and contribute so much to the site and the emotions through your photographs and informations learned. I love this image, it reminded me a little of the Vietnamese image of the naked girl running from the bombing, off course that one is so tragic and sad, this one is full of joy and cariosity, running toward the tourist bus, perhaps just to look at them and perhaps hoping for a treat. I really enjoy it. I hope they are running toward a better future, it is a continent in much trouble in the last few decades. thanks

Nice how all your fans run in your direction! :-)

They look too well fed to be running behind a UN truck on its way for a food distribution. They are also not practicing for a children's triathlon - though they might become great runners at an older age.
I think they are just running behind your car because you asked the driver to slow down so you could take a photograph ;-0.

Hello Andrzej,
This is really good photo in tecnically but also in a symbolic meaning. I like this composition with no sky and all those little boys trying to catch you. In the symbolic way this photo means that those boys (Africa) runs toward you (Europe) in the hope of a better life. You are their ticket to richness so they simply wants some money.
