Old lamp post in quiet neighbourhoods in the city of Kolkata, dating from the times of incessant and regular power failures, everyday evening. 'Poronto bikel' - the magic time between afternoon and evening, a kind of hush falling over the neighbourhood as the sounds of children playing, and birds chirping fade away, and you put on a light sweater for the chill, and candles come out to prepare for the dark evening of the 'load-shedding'.
