Photographer’s Note

Another shot of Balos Lagoon, one of the beaches more spectaculars I've ever seen.
This lagoon is situated on the western extremity of Crete, on the Gramvousa penisula. Is not so easily reachable because far from the most part of touristic resorts (not many tourists are so brave to drive one hour or more to visit a place!) and the road is not so good.
So it is not many crowded and it can reveal all its beauty.
Only few times at the day a full of tourists boat arrive from the sea leaving them admire this place for only one hour!

Waou!!! Just clicked on trekearth and the gallery displayed..What a wonderful photo Elena..It takes me immediately away from my desk..Thank you! Good composition, beautiful colors, sharp details, appropriate framing. Maybe a little bit of noise and too much contrast which makes the details of the mountain in the dark areas disappear. Just a thought.

Decisamente attrente questo scenario Elena, deve essere un posto incantevole e la cura nel ritrarlo in questa foto dimostra quanto ti abbia colpito.
Ottima l'inquadratura (ben bilanciata) e la composizione, Se mi permetti un solo piccolo appunto per il filetto turchese della cornice che, a mio avviso, frena un pochino l'esplosione di color presente nell'immagine. Avrei visto più adatto un grigio, ma è solo un micro commento basato su gusti del tutto personali, la foto rimane eccellente, BRAVA!!!

Ciao Elena, qui hai scelto un bel POV che esalta i colori della sabbia in primo piano. Il resto della composizione è gradevole e si fa ammirare per i bellissimi colori.

the colours are incredible here elena... i saw many pictures of this place before, mostly by the great guy and photographer hercules (cretense) who is actually from crete, but i dont remember seeing the sand as pink as it looks here... incredible... looks surreal, and romantic as well...

ci accomuna il campo lungo! splendidi colori e splendido posto e delle belle messe a fuoco all'infinito.

non riesco a decifrare la foto:con quel colore del cielo e il rosa della sabbia il mare non può essere così azzurro, quindi desumo che la foto sia piacevolmente sottoesposta, essendo stata scattata a mezzogiorno, seconda ipotesi: la sabbia è realmente rosa e il colore del mare è un miracolo ma le ombre sul monte sono troppo nette.

scusa le elucubrazioni da dopo pranzo. il risultato è che vorrei essere li in questo momento.

Immagine decisamente satura ma il blu è quello del mare in Grecia. La sabbia è veramente rosa?

Brava Elena, che posto splendido e sì che sono stato in vacanza a Creta l'anno scorso..... Buona resa dei colori e bella profondità, se devo proprio criticare qualcosa.... non amo mai l'orizzonte a metâ immagine....
