Photographer’s Note

Sometimes...you just have to drive far and wide, to get a good nature photo. And the best indicator is almost always, the quality of the light in the sky.

If the weather is fine, and the sun doesn't stretch the latitude too wide, more than 2 stops different, your photo would be just fine really.

This photo was taken, in a mangrove swamp, on the bend of a river, just before sun down. Sometimes, the best photo requires the hardest and the longest, effort. But it is worth it and you always get it. As long as you know when, and where.

Stunning reflections, Rabani! Excellent colour & acceptable sharpness. I like the 'Y' shape on its' side compositiom. Good decision to use blur in the sky & water. Really good pp work! Bagus sekali!

Yes, I think I agree with your note, but the scene here is also important. The title is good, the outline against the sky is a pretty good approximation.

firstly i like the name of yur pic. then, i was expecting something about it in your note, but nothing was there. anyway, the outlines do resemble fractals!

about your pic: nice light, colors and almost a mirror.

Wow, great shot! Couldn't imaging a tropical lake could appear so autumn cool. Great reflection on the lake. Mandelbrot would have proved his point. Catchy title too.

A wind calm day, Rabani, the reflections is a mirror image, excellent depth with fantastic colours, I like specially of the blue colours.

Hey Rabani...this is an absolute beauty! The lighting is perfect, the reflection is perfect, and the colors are perfect! My only suggestion would be to crop the top cloud out since it is not in the reflection, adding to the symmetrical feel of this image. I have given you a workshop. I would love to see more like this! It was well worth the trip...

Very nice picture! The sweetness of the colors, the reflection of the clouds in the water is so nice, with so many details, no one trouble in the water. Just it's beautiful and I feel in that picture the quietness of a really beautiful sunset.

What an amazing photo, Rabani. The slightly surreal orange tones produced by the sunlight falling on the clouds are really unique, and the clarity of the reflection and colors is wonderful. During computer science studies, we used to do programming exercises to produce similar shapes based on an algorithm, but this is proof that mother nature still does it best. Hats off, this is outstanding.

Hi Rabani, very nice photo, beautiful reflection and wonderful colors & light, with a slight cropping the symmetry would be perfect. I post a similar photo recently and did a 180 rotation for a different view and perfect mirror shot, I've tried just for fun to do the same thing with your photo, try it and tell me what you think. It gives the impression of a painting on the top....

Great use of simetry. The softness of the image is incredible as well the details seen. This seems to be a very beautiful area. I just find the clouds colors a bit strange. Maybe some balance in their colors would produce a more pleasant contrast with the sky.

Hard for me to come so late and see this amazing picture. I think all critics were written since you've posted it :)

But, I wanna put two points to it, I have to !

A perfect usage of symetry with a title so well choosen. Colours are astonishing and provide a large and warm palette with a nice contrast within the overall blue. It's a real pleasure for our eyes because of great details from the trees to the clouds. Nothing more to say but perfect !

Absolutely cool and sharp picture. Effective colors of green and deep blue and the feeling of serenity makes this photo a great shot as well as a favourite of mine. I have seen many reflections in TE, but this is the best captured ever in my opinion. Congratulations.

I Love it, everything is Perfect! I could not have done better if I was Mandelbrot or Rorschach! and they might have to agree! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Maybe if you used your Canon "L" series it could have been more detailed!

Hello Rabani. A really spectacular photo. I like very much the reflections in the water, because they are almost perfect. Coverall, the illumination is very good and very interesting tonalities in the water as in the sky are appraised as much. The frame and the quality of image also are very good.

I am just a biginner in your gallery, this is your bets ranked photo. It is an excellent job, well framed from a good POV, wit amazing reflections.
Some people liked it, but in my case I feel off about the saturatio of colours. Just my opinion.

Browsing through the thumbs, it didn't come across my mind that this picture is taken in Malaysia. It does appear to be like a shot taken in autumn somewhere in temprate climate. Excellen job - I like it!
