Photographer’s Note

This is my second post of Juromenha Fortress. This time it's a different pov, but we can still see the tower of the church devoted to Nossa Senhora do Loreto (that I've shown before)and on the left side we have another one with a bell tower - it's a 17th century church devoted to São Francisco de Assis. What we see here is a part of the space within the walls.
This fortress dates from the 9th century and it's situated very close to the Guadiana River and also to Spain. It has played an important role along its history, especially during the Moorish period.
