Photographer’s Note
I heard that the Velib, the self-service bikes which already became a new icon of Paris may disappear from its streets. Apparently there are too many of them stolen and vandalized and the cost to its maintenance became too high. Let's hope this will not happen as tourists and Parisians alike seem to enjoy riding along the nice streets of Paris on those ones. (For more on the subject check http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article5697094.ece
Its success lead other cities to copy its model and I may expect to see the Velibs on the street of Singapore in the future, fortunately for the government here the chances that they will be vandalized here are far smaller than in Paris...

Hi Flavia!!
Funny capture!!
But it is not a good idea to finish with Velibs!!
Your capture is an original daily theme, nice moment, very well captured, the option to post in B&W fits very well ...
Good point of view in order to compse this nice image!!
Have a nice day.
Best Regards
Manuel

Hey Flavia,
Well done on the capture! Good use of focal length to get the compressed perspective, the street crossing lines and the amusement on the subject's faces. Good note too!
TFS!

bonjour flavia

Hello Flavia! Is this right, they want to remove it again. This would be such a shame because there is a total new side I discovered when I returned to Paris after many years. It is almost like a green movement. In Zuerich we have free bike rentals during the summer months for many years now but you have to leave your passport or id and a little deposit which you receive back when you return the velo. It is managed by people that have problems with their life and job and it gives them something to do. Maybe they should have a smiliar project in Paris. Great shot indeed and I love that she shows her leg and the guys smiling into your camera. Great b/w treatment, you know what you do. Long live the freedom for us girls to show what we have if we want to ... happy weekend, Barbara.
