Photographer’s Note

According to the church cornerstone, the Trinity United Methodist Church was erected in 1891. The Reverend J.F. Elliott was the officiate. Trinity United Methodist Church: Built by and for the African-American congregation, it included a local doctor, pharmacist and newspaper editor. Reverend Mark G. Garvin is the current pastor.

A good angle of view on this fine looking church. I think I might be tempted to crop the pole and wires on the right, but not a major issue. Good light to bring out the lovely and vibrant tones in the brickwork.

Sharpness is pretty adequate, exposure is correct, colors are naturally beautiful!

Lovely late 19th century architecture seen in such warm light and a beautiful blue sky background.
The surrounding palms contrast brilliantly with the red brick.

You have framed this composition very well to highlight the tower and placing in center although the building as a whole is to the left. Very sharp detail and shot in good brightness. I like the color of the wall placed in the front. Well done.

The 3/4 view of the church is an asset to the composition. It is also allowing ud to see the details and colors of the architecture of the church. The trees are framing well the church. The light is enhancing the colors under a nice blue sky. Have a nice day.

Fine point of view to show the details in the architecture, the presentation is well done in a balanced composition...

the church - thanks to its colours - looks so joyful! especially in such sunny weather and with such a blue sky.
Interesting building; very good composition. I like the POV which you chose to show the church. Also, I think that the deep contrast shadows and that dark side of the church create very good depth.

Hello Asa,
what, a Christian church with the Star of David (though rotated by 30°) in the round window? Never seen yet.
A lovely church with Neo-Gothic elements and yet somehow typical for the younger protestant confessions. The excellent lights and colours make it even more sympathetic.
