Photographer’s Note
This is a photo from my mini TE meeting with Claudia in Munich. We were really lucky with the weather - it felt like Spring was in the air. OK, the sky could have been nicer, but the conversation was great! We had a wonderful time and decided that it wasn't our last meeting, for sure!
I finally decided to try RAW. Many thanks to Mark who was kind enough to help me with the PP on his computer!
The Nymphenburg Palace is located in the city of Munich and has been of historical significance since the completion of the central pavilion in 1675. The treaty of Nymphenburg was concluded here in July 1741, when Charles Albert allied with France and Spain against Austria. For a long time, the palace was the favorite summer residence of the rulers of Bavaria. King Max I Joseph died here in 1825, and his great-grandson King Ludwig II was born here in 1845.
This is a shot of the stables at Nymphenburg, which are to the right of the central pavilion.
Hope you like it!

Hi Linda,
OF COURSE I like it!!! Hmmm... your shot of this view looks a lot better than mine - guess shooting in RAW was the right decision! ;o) The light here looks almost like late afternoon and those streaky clouds really stick out. Great PP job, you can tell that to Mark!

Hi, Linda.
Great one, and great to hear you guys had the chance to get together. That's cool, that's the spirit! Your first RAW, that's already one more than I ever posted (LOL!), and it looks damn good. Very strong, both as a composition and in terms of editing. RAW is the future, no doubt about that, but still pretty tricky to manage. A whole different ball game than JEPG, but you done exceedingly good, my compliments! Have a nice evening, I'll be seeing ya. My window is wide OPEN, I can smell SPRING in Amsterdam... Hugs,
Fulvio.

Those clouds were meant just for your photo as they all point to the palace. Good choice to include the lake as there are hints of reflections despite the rippled surface, and it's great to see the water birds, particularly the swans. Congratulations on your first RAW. You'll soon get the hang of the extra PP! ;D
Did you know all the swans in the UK are owned by the queen!!?

Hallo Linda!

Gratulation.
Viele Grüsse aus dem Donautal,
Helmut

Hi Linda
Very pretty light making the lovely architecture of the building stand out. The clouds seemed to converge on the building and the foreground is so attractive with the swans and ducks.

Hello Linda,
What's wrong with your sky? I like it, it creates strong perspectives to lead the eye to this nice architecture, full of sun.
The numerous swans create a very peaceful feeling and your composition is nice.
A good start with RAW! Congratulations.
Cheers,
Marianne

Hallo Linda,
Indeed you have been lucky with the weather, the clouds radiation justifies leavig that much place to the sky and trading it for a rather small building. COngratulations for turning RAW, on some difficult image you'll notice it is a real huge benefit and it does not cost that much extra time to process.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Linda,
great compo, you have rightly chosen to preserve larger part of the sky, well done!

Linda,
Beautiful and serene atmosphere within the city. It's nice to see that the urban planing always include large area of water and some natural element like garden for trees and vegetation as well. The lake is beautiful, like a playground for birds. The swans are a bonus here, since they kind of stand out and draws attention. the light is nice and soft if not ideal. Good details overall and really beuatiful composition. Good to hear that you are having a good time meeting Claudia. Thanks so much for you very in-depth comments.
ps. You should learn to do your own pp. Not that I don't like Mark's pp. but everyone got their own style and it vary alot from one person to the next. Many TE member have shared one RAW file and come up with totally different color and light, and even composition if they cropped it.

Liebe Linda! Beste Gruesse, Barbara.

Guten morgen Linda,
Grossartig in jeder Hinsicht :
