In Kashgar, in the old town, where most of the Uyghurs (from origine moslim people) live, they start to make sjish kebab every end of the day. There is a lot of smoke then in the streets.
This girl was walking right through it, did not matter about it. She was just walking and eating and thinking and ....

Hey Reg,

Amazing stuff obviously, because of the fantastic ambient, produced by the smoke in the background, and numerous other elements, like the color contrast and focus. Well` it`d also be great without the smoke, but you just cant beat this one.
Fine work once more.

She´s very well isolated by the smokein the background. You´ve really captured a great moment here, enhanced by the symmetry of the scooters, and also elaborated the photo really well.

Dag Reggy,

Zonder het te weten heb ik zonet ook van Kashgar gepost, maar dan een foto van 10 jaar oud. Het verschil is duidelijk, kijk maar naar die moto's en de kleding. Dit vind ik een prachtige foto, de 'princes' lijkt echt uit het niets op te komen en is mooi scherp.

This is a great street scene of the daily life of this area of China.
The girl with blue dress seems to be unflinching to the street activity. Her silhouette pull away from the smoke very well.
Time seems to have stop around her.

Kijk eens hoeveel aandacht je al krijgt, en dat terwijl je hier net bent...kwaliteit verloochent zich niet..!!! Ik zie dat je voorzichtig post, de mooiste nog even achter de hand houd, heel verstandig, want ook die beauties mogen (moeten zelfs) gezien en beoordeeld worden.

Ik weet en zie precies wat je gedaan hebt hier en het resultaat is schitterend he.

What a great atmosphere here with the girl striding out from the smoke, she seems to be illuminated by it and this is directly where our eye goes first before exploring the rest of the street scene, which is perfectly balanced by the two motorbikes on either side of her. Wonderful!

Hi Reggy,

I was impressed by this picture since the first time I visited your gallery, but I end up commenting something else. Today I could not resist. This is a photocontest wining! The light is very special letting with the girl placed on the righ spot as if out of the smoke. Her blue dress and natural expression are just perfect. The way she is framed by the two motorcicles is also very special. All the details in this compo are unique and well managed.

She is like a mystic princess coming out from the mist. She has all the brightness on herself whereas all the rest is left in faint colors. Her walk, her face... She has a charming mood which doesn't seem to belong the world she's in.
You created such a mood in such a daily street.

someday has already mentioned that she looks like a goddess, stepping out of celestail light. I like the colours and the frame provided by the motorbikes.Like you I feel that her surroundings provide a sense of place and an interseting contrast.

You have a very interesting gallery so far. This image is a real eye catcher. The smoke behind this girl almost makes it look like a movie set. Seems almost too good to be true. I like how she is perfectly centered between the two mopeds as well. Great capture. Love it!
