La Rambla del Mar Photo

Photographer’s Note

At the base of the rambla, this boardwalk led across the harbor to the MareMagnum shopping mall and the aquarium. Ahead is a swing-bridge to let the sailboats out of the marina to the left.

This shot will be added to my theme Night POVs

Please give me any suggestions and critiques because I would like to improve my night shots.....

Hi Silvio,

Strong lines and curves...that is the first thing that hits you when you look at this picture. For a night shot, it is surprisingly noisefree and sharp. The bright light on the bottom and the darkness at the top gives a good contrast to the overall image.

Estremamente difficile,ci sono un sacco di luci di intensita' e tonalita' differenti e le hai gestite a meraviglia,uno scatto da mettere negli esami di laurea come compito. Io di notte la macchina la lascio a casa, e` un tipo di fotografia che non mi si addice e quindi non sono purtroppo in grado di darti delle dritte. Ma onestamente mi pare che qui ci sia ben poco da migliorare... Bella nitida, no noise, luce gestita veramente al meglio, una veduta che si commenta da sola. A me piace cosi` com'e`, bravo! Stammi bene.

Ciao Silvio. Ottima prospettiva in primo piano con la struttura metallica a rompere le geometrie della pavimetazione. Fa impresione la nitidezza e il risalto dei particolari sullo sfondo. Favoloso il riflesso.

Ciao Silvio, What suggestions could I give you? It is very nice photo, with good colours, nice atmospere, it seems quite warm and people enjpoy their evening walk. Nice perspective of the broad way and view of the city. I like it very much.

Nice view of this lovely place full of pubs at night. The lovely exposure which allows you to get that "ghosts" is lovely too!

Excellent clarity and sharpness... Also, the exposure on the lights is perfect. Did you use DRI?

Ah, yes, Silvio, this is a great place for night shots, I even posted one in TE last year (which you kindly commented). I like how you captured from the side those "waves" of the bridge. Maybe I'd crop out a little bit from the left so as to have the feeling that the bridge continues. Regards, Daniel
