Western wind Photo

Photographer’s Note

The sunsetting during very strong western wind. I made this picture from Bukowina Tatrzanska neighbourhood. You can see a large valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubalowka Hill where lies city Zakopane. Zakopane has the highest elevation of any town in Poland: 800 -1000 meters above sea level.
To make this picture I used two filters: Kenko Polarizer and Cokin ND Grad 121S.

Hard picture to be taken, against the strong sunlight, however you did such a superb photo job in here! I really love the view, with the wind blowing hard in the very foreground, the eyes that go far away in the mountaneous landscape and, of course, the sun! Wonderful colors, adequate sharpness, very good exposure and superb depth of fiedl!

Hi Maciej,

This is a really good shot, I love the effect of the sun on the blowing powder snow in the foreground combined with the building sky in the distance and the sun star. The colours and foreground detail are excellent.

Hi, Maciej. Very nice wintry ambience in your picture. The wind blown snow in the foreground chills me. The POV is very well chosen with the view down on the valley offering good contrast between the dark trees and the snow. the background is splendid with the sun colouring the clouds.

wow, I mean - WOW! great shot, Maciej, looks like a scene from perpetual Ice Age, especially with that wind blown snow. must've been a difficult exposure right against the sun, but the result is stunning, I like a lot the touch of golcen-pink colour of the sky and reflected in the snow. excellent work, my compliments.

I efekt jest widoczny. klazrowny obraz dzieki polarowi oraz ¶wietnie wyrównane ¶wiat³a dziêki filtrowi po³ówkowemu. Rewelacyjna dynamika i ¶wiat³o.Ale¿ ten wiaterek narozrabia³ tutaj.
