Photographer’s Note
And then, he created the animals...
And, then he said to the people:
" You will be divided among those who'll live by the pork and those who won't.
And, you'll be fighting fiercely to death because of that and you'll be praising my name whilst killing each other"
And, it is as he had spoken.
Amen

Strong image, strong statement.
The grain, the self satisfied look on the butcher and those hogs heads just blow me away.
Thanks for another one to study.

Another great one George. Brutal effective processing of a somewhere daily reality.
Love it!

George: not sure about this one - maybe your pushing the creative processing envelope to the limit - nonetheless, since it's film - you get the full marks. c

I think the PP, even if it is quite heavy, works here. The image has a macabre and artistic quality. Personally, I am not thinking much of a working man here. Rather a vegetarian propaganda poster (and I do not use "propaganda" in this context as a bad connotation).
Stay healthy,
Cristian

Stwórca w kapeluszu i stroju ogrodnika, sadzący sennie uśmiechnięte świńskie łby...
Trochę się pogubiłam ?
A przecież stwórca-ogrodnik szalenie serio podchodzi do świńskiego zagadnienia.

Piekna obrobka, dales mocno czadu.
Ze tez mozna tak pokazac artystycznie po prostu swinskie glowy i ich obrabiacza !
Pozdrawiam.

Poor beasts, they seem to be smiling even in their deaths... attractive and repulsive in the same time (for me, vegetarian), your PP is really fantastic, the light and the grains make it a wonderful photo.
Compliments, I'll be back !
Best,
Cath.

This is a great pic, George, really a strong one. But... so terrible! So cruel!
Anyway, bravo. This is part of your style. Right?

:-)))
This is amazingly surreal. Such a scene can only be yours... :-)))
The extreme PP here is at its best... how to show those smiley pig heads otherwise. Yes, I know, I have seen various full color slaughtered pieces of meat presented here in TE like a big trophy :-)))
Great note!
Meat and peace George!

I looked at this photo many, many times. And I still don't know what to say. I think it's precious. Very precious. We don't see such "heads" around anymore. We eat (or not) the meat, but it is usually "disembodied", in pieces, so that we have only a vague idea that it was a living animal before.
Your heavy touch on dark here has give a certain 'macabre' feel to an otherwise very 'normal' (at the time) situation.
Excellent framing. I'm serious. All the elements are exactly at the right place.
Meatheads or meet heads? :)

Only you could do this. Brutal PP treatment but it fits a 100%. The light is wondrous as is the tonality. Very artistic take and like a punch in the stomach. Their smiles leave me speachless. In my infancy you could still see this kind of display of heads, bodies in butcheries. The cuts were done on demand. Now, everything is wrapped and like Claire says, disembodied. I don't eat pork anymore and little meat.
Your note is as remarkable as the photograph. Thank you. Bowing down, deeply.
Michèle
