Photographer’s Note
Collingwood harvest festival held on the Collingwood housing estate celebrates the culture and diversity of the housing estate. Just down the end of my street I found Ethiopians, East Timorese, Vietnamese, Sudanese, and this young guy.
In Melbourne football supporters are sometimes characterised as "tribes". Collingwood football club colours are black and white.

Nice close up portrait! Diversity adds interests to life. I'm glad I moved to Sydney. Would have to check out Melbourne some day!

Hi Steve,
It may be a bit soft but those eyes are having the desired effect regardless. Quite moody.
Cheers!

....it seems you have edited here something....right upper corner is blurry, but the eye is sharp; how this is possible? Also the right side around the eye is darker brown than the left side around the eye...why? Different light? This is full frame or a crop? Just curious...:-)
Nevertheless very good portrait. I like the framing too.

interesting lines of this painted face and close enough, the lines on top left add a little good bonus

Hi Stephen,
Cool close up of this guy in his black and white stripes. He has an intense gaze. I like it, strong and effective portrait.

Hello Steve, Nice one, as a football follower I like it but also for it's quality. When I first saw it I thought it was blue & white so I was thinking Geelong especially after seeing the red in it's eyes, so cat looking. Well done
Cheers

Hi Stephen
Ah you either love em or hate em, Collingwood I mean. Growing up in Essendon I was conditioned to the later :-) and although the black and white stripes send shivers through my Black and Red spine I love this portrait. Who would question his allegence to the mighty magpies... not me! His eyes say it all. Well done.
Cheers
