Photographer’s Note

Fishermen sitting on a net on the banks of the Brahmaputra river in Guwahati city, enjoying a cardgame after delivering the catch of the day. Two or three of them lose their concentration when they discover me, pointing my camera at them, but the rest wouldn't be bothered.

A perfect composition, they are very well placed in an elliptic form (but they probably don´t know that). What are they playing, Vännåtta?

what I most of all like about such photos which you take is that you manage to capture the mood of the moment! I like their different reaction.
Yes, just like you stated in the Note: some of these guys just couldn't be bothered whether you are taking a photo of them or not. But I especially like one of them, the one on the left. He is looking directly at you and smiling. Maybe he likes to be photographed?, and he likes the idea that someone, whom he will never meet again, will take back home this photo as a good remembrance?..
