Photographer’s Note

Corme-Royal is a French commune in the Charente-Maritime département, Poitou-Charente region. With a population of just over 1500, it lies 15 kilometres to the west of the town of Saintes. It was known as "Corme-la-Forêt" during the Revolution.

Its economy is mainly dependent on agriculture including the raising of cows and pigs as well as bee-keeping. There is a well stocked garden centre just outside the village.

Je ne connaissais pas ce village au nom qui sonne si bien. Une belle image descriptive de l'ambiance si caractéristique de la Charente-Maritime. Il doit être doux de s'installer sur cette terrasse. Une très belle invitation à visiter ce village. Tu nous en montres en effet très joliment quelques élements bien présentés: les arbres élagués, une perspective sur la rue bordée de maisons de pierres, les volets.... Très beau travail photo.

Hello Stephen. April. Sunshine and blue sky. At the trees is to be seen already somewhat fresh green. The chairs are however still empty. But soon the warmth of the sun will out-lure the people. A beautiful picture. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Nice village corner under the already apparently hot sun, it is sometimes necessary to cut the trees but this makes the terrasse lunch a hot experience !

Les couleurs sont douces , l'atmosphère de province tranquille très présente , les terrasses de café accueillante , et je crois même qu'on peut discerner un menu affiché sur l'ardoise . Un petit coin tranquille et accueillant sur une image nette et bien exposée.
