Photographer’s Note
This little girl, met in Kathmandou, spontaneously joined her hands in a "Namaste" welcome.
To me, her look and posture represent all the kindness of Nepalese people.
"The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another"

Bravo, Vero. We certainly rarely get such soulful acknowledegment as we start our day on the way to work, back home.
I like the way her smiling eyes, somehow, fills up all the frame, same as her blessing must have accompanied your whole day.

I love this photo - thank you so much for posting. The innocence of a child and the spirituality of the namaste (which I love - here is a lovely article: namaste) The color may a little subdued, but that is a minor note. I needed this one! :o)

I like the soft color and the swett expressionof the child reacting to you. It is beautiful and embodies the spirit of South Asian culture. Very well done!
