you must be kidding.
right, claire? "... piece of art in the showcase of some store"
what about something (be it whatever) becoming piece of art after being filtered through the skills of an imaginative and talented visual art artizan?
... she is alive, isn't she?
... "G" ? ;o)

Hi Claire,
What a great creation of a piece of art you are presenting with a great success!
The colors, position and the sense of movement are fantastically interpreted in your capture!
Nice frame!
Great photographic art!

A mannequin in the store window...
A mannequin ???
Dear Klara...
I see the mannequins in and out... I see the mannequins in the store windows everyday...
The dullest... The dumbest of the the people's "art' creation you can imagine (if you don't count the photo art on TL !)
The mannequin...
Nothing's in there to be shown what hasn't been shown before... Yet...???
A blast of an imaginative creativity beyond comparison to anything I've seen before...
Your photo !
How is it humanly possible to see 'the things' like that - beats me...?
Sent this photo to some glamorous, fashion magazines.
Send it to the photo magazines...
Show the world HOW a visionary photographer can perceive the common things that surround us constantly in a way only a great photographer can see.
The things that (seemingly) can't be the subjects of the deepest desire of an ambitious photographer...
Claire...
The store with THAT mannequin doesn't exist...
THAT mannequin itself doesn't even exist...
It's a pure product of someone's incredible imagination... A midnight's summer dream that never has been written....
I close my eyes and it'll disappear..
Hey... It never existed before, right ?
g.
.............
You don't own me nothing, Claire.
The eagle doesn't send his thanks to the chicken for the soaring lessons...

A piece of art, Claire. The colors, the blur, the repetitive exploding patterns on the right. This mannequin almost comes alive. In an almost sexual way.
my compliments,
Cristian

bonjour claire, tu reviens, trop rarement, mais avec fracas, cette photo est de l'art bien que ce soit un mannequin s-dans sa vitrine, la lumière est bien gérée,et le contraste entre le rouge et noir est judicieux;
bonne continuation

Howdy Claire,
This is really original work - great use of the lensbaby for a unique outcome. As others have said the mannequin looks alive when presented like this.

J'aime bien.

Hi Claire,
original portrait and artwork. I like the black/red composition, POV, post-processing work and light. Excellent light that creates this special mood in the image.
This photo would be perfect for TL as well.
Best regards,

Hello Claire,
That is just wonderful!! Especially with those blurred lights in the background! Very, very nice. A lensebaby on a DSLR. Never considered that!! The result is amazing and as such not expected by me....

There's something so enigmatic when red and black are used together..touches certain areas deep inside..love the proportions in which they have been used..and the light is what youve controlled with utmost precision..Good stuff Claire.
to G..and why not :))

Bonjour Claire,
Cette image est magnifique! Tu as donné vie, mouvement et... sensualité! à ce mannequin... Ça m'a fait penser au film Blade Runner, où certains androïdes créés par l'homme étaient capables de développer des émotions et d'avoir "insight".
Bravo!

Salut Claire,
Uau! You manage to bring her to life! Absolutely fantastic! I don't know how you got this POV but it really brings a totally different feeling. The light is pure magic! Your work to soften her body and bring the attention to her face worked so well. The colours are the final touch to make it just perfect!

Flavia

Hi Claire--I'm coming out of hiding on TE. (Is it right to call it hiding if no one noticed I was gone?)
You posted this around the time I saw you, but somehow I didn't see it until now. It's absolutely beautiful, hard to believe it's a mannequin, she looks so alive, yet so relaxed and at home in her world! The Lensbaby is ideal for this, with the window of sharpness and those beautiful red ovals...you do wondrous things with that lens (when I'm not there, at least...)
As George said, you created her with your imagination. Congratulations for that!
Regards, Ken.
