North-west of the village of Neo Chorio in Paphos, approximately 2 kilometres from it,is the small monastery of Saint Minas of Idrami.The monastery was build in the 16th century but today only the church remains.Inside traces of murals can be seen.Architecturally the church belongs to the single arch type and can comfortably fit up to thirty people.The iconostasis of the church is made of wood.
Saint Minas is the patron Saint of the community with a big church dedicated to his name.Saint Minas is celebrated on November 11, in the community, and on this day all the women of the village prepare the traditional cypriot kattimerka.The monastery of Saint Minas today is a chapel,and has liturgies contacted there many times a year.
