Photographer’s Note
good morning Munnar
I don`t like guided tours but sometimes it`s neccessary to take part ,to have views and moments like this one.
From left to right:
2 swedish girls, about 20 years old, who stayed 20 of their 28 days in India at the beach.....
a guy from London, a couple from Ireland, both with Nikons and our guide from "Green View" guesthouse in Munnar.
We met at 4:30 am,had some tea and drove about 25 minutes with a 4wd and started climbing. After about 30 minutes we had the sunrise and a rest.
Then we climbed to the top at 2650 meters.

we need some model while taking photos against the sun.. and it is a nice feeling to be a witness of the new day with such a great scenery like here.. like the cloud sea and the bright sun ofcourse.. i wish the man in the middle wouldn't look at this side.. but it's a small detail in such a nice photo..
best wishes Andreas,

Hello Leo,
Superb handling of the light, the colours and the haze and clouds. The silhouettes of people watching the view or just taking pictures tell a story about tourism.

Hi Andreas,
Great management of lighting in this contre-jour presentation!
The wide angle shot has produced a pleasing composition with a background out of this world!
An amazing outcome which deserves full merits!

a unique shot of sunrise.
good idea to add people for the difference.they give an interesting point and made more charming to this shot.
i like the touching of light to their silhouettes by still seeing some details and also the shadows give nice contrast to golden grass.good capture for compose their position to this beautiful image :)

This is a fantastic shot! I totally love it. The brightness, warmth of color and light. The peeping mountain peaks with clouds all around and the magnificent fireball... too good.
In fact thanks for sharing such good Image of munnar, as this is totally a different side of the southernmost hill station in India, in God's Own Country.

I totally agree with you, Leo. And would be here with you if I didn't find an easy way of getting here on my own. The feeling of being above the clouds is fantastic here. And the early morning mood is great also. Superb shot against the sun.

Seems to me it's the Swedish girls there who are the ones who understand the moment. Wisdom isn't always with the camera-toting independent travellers...

hello Andreas
I guess that the view is superb, but what could I say about the light? It's somptuous, gving so fantastic warm colours, and very long shadows! The back light has done that the people appears as black silhouettes, and it's very beautiful in these golden colours!I like how they are standing out the misty background!A great picture!

Hi Andreas,
Good memories are second only to best friends.
Klasse Stimmungsbild.

Hola Leo.
It was worthwhile to climb 2650 meters to the top of the mountain to capture this amazing shot and then to catch one of the most difficult photos with the sun against your camera. Very good management of light, nice colors and excellent composition.
Best regards.

Wow!
Superb sunrise you have here, even if it is on a guided tour, the inclusion opf those fellows add to the overall sense of scale and greatness of the gorgeous landscape.
Great colors despite the backlit subjects.

Hallo Leo,
This is a well achieved face-to-face with the sun! And the presence of the silhouettes gives a pleasant view (they're not absolute silhouettes, which is better than if they were). An image of great visual impact.
Beautiful, beautiful!
Congratulations!
