Photographer’s Note
One of the most famous markets of Istanbul is the Misir Carsi (means "Egyptian Market"), the spice bazaar, a colourful market, where you can find all sorts of spices ("baharat"), herbs and orientals sweets, even some natural turkish "viagra".
It was constructes in 1660 as part of the complex (kulliye) of the Yeni Camii (mosque). Nowadays, more and more spice shops leave their place to touristic ones or shops that sell electronics etc. but you can still have a strong "taste" of the "Orient".
WORKSHOP-*COLOURFUL MOUNTAINS OF BAHARISTAN*
This is a photo I had uploaded a few days ago and was deleted by the mods for "excessive post process" or something like that. Although I had written in my note that the sky was from a different picture, it seems that our beloved mods don't apreciate honesty. In fact, I doubt that if I had not written it in the note, that any of our mods, would have paid attention, and anyway it's another proof of their lack of humour and imagination. Hope you like it, anyhow!

kalimera Hercules,
I have been there too....the Egyptian Market...IMO it was the most vital and pulsing market in Istanbul....colourful, lifefull, not the typical place for what I call "cattled tourists".
I love this POV....providing good depth...the blurred persons passing by add a good dynamic too
well done

Hi Hercules
thank you for reminding me good times in Istambul in July 1998, when the fotball french team won the World Cup. I remember this spice market full of people and scents.
It seems you have joined 2 pictures! The blurred person gives life to your shot

Hi Hercules
Good motion blur of the hurrying people in this superb market scene. I like the yellow & blue colour contrasts. Excellent sharpness on the more static elements in the shot. Have a great Sunday!

Hola amigo:
Saludos, John

Hello Hercules,
An excellent shot of the Spice Market, accompanied by one of your superb notes. Just as in English, both "Greece" and "Turkey" have double meanings, in Turkish "Misir" also has a double meaning. It stand for Egypt, but also "corn."
Warm regards, good friend. This summer I will be on Crystal Serenity, cruise #9317. Any chance of your being in either Athens or Santorini?
Warm regards,
Bulent
