Photographer’s Note

After 6 weeks of near cloudless skies, I managed to capture a great sunrise over Dolphin Quay, Mandurah: the forecast is now for 5 days of rain and wind - I think our Indian Summer has finally come to an end!

some great details: architectural waves on the left, the bridge, the reflections and the hues of the clouds, and the flying bird... all these details more appreciable on the large version of course... a fine quality too

Hi Jeff,

That is a wonderful sunrise for sure and yes, the clouds really add to it! The small version is a bit overly sharpened for my feeling, but the bigger upload is spot on!!

Fantastic shot, and excellent choice of panoramic crop. Even in the large version the detail is superb. It's a very balanced composition, and the colours are wondrous. Beautifully done.

Wow, Jeff, the large format is especially stunning, but this one is an eye-catcher, no matter what. The clouds and golden hour lighting complete the spectacle so very effectively. Thanks for the persistence and planning; they really paid off with an excellent photo!

Amazing sunrise with great composition and stunning reflection. Very nicely balanced shot, just the resolution in the larg version is not good, but it doesn't metter.

wonderful picture of this sunset over the harbour. Littles clouds are amazing and the reflection is very good. The large version show a lot of details like the flying bird on the right. Very good sharpness. Congratulations.
