Photographer’s Note
This is a very simple photo (actually, a photo from my "family album" which was not meant to be posted).
For those who like the simplicity and easy interactivity of the old TE version.
This is my protest against the changes... which are not always for the best - we know it!
Occam's razor is the principle that "entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily."
It is apocryphally attributed to 14th-century English logician and Franciscan friar, William of Ockham.
---------------------------
Occam's razor, also Ockham's razor, is now usually stated as follows:
"Of two equivalent theories or explanations, all other things being equal, the simpler one is to be preferred."
---------------------------
In the spirit of Occam's razor itself, the rule is sometimes stated as:
"The simplest explanation is usually the best."
---------------------------
Another common statement of it is:
"The simplest explanation that covers all the facts is usually the best."

Hello my dear Elena
Marvelous photo, good timing !
Yes this is simple but very strong and clear message.
Shutting for animal/bird is very difficult for shutter chance. You are talented.
Congratulation on your good Job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards,

dear Elena,
I understand your "protest against the changes", but the executor of TE looks rather dictatorial,,,we are the ruled here as same as in actual world...
and "Occam's razor" actually includes lots of problems...
in my feeling, it is not simple that Occam's razor is valid or invalid.
anyway, this your shot is so clear and refreshing.
maybe seagulls as actual birds and seagulls as our meaningful image are different, but in this shot, we can see beautiful flying figure with their wings fully extending. it shows one real image of seagulls. the fact is simply flying in the sky.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Elena,
A skilfully shot photo of flying seagulls. Their position in a diagonal in the photo is a great detail in this composition. Good clarity and contrast as well. I started to smile, when reading your protest. But right, simple often is the best. :-) TFS!
Best regards,
Lasse

Ciao dear Elena,
beautiful photo, difficult to capture with this pleasant result, also because it's difficult to capture birds in flight with this excellent sharpness. I agree with you, TE was very more intuitive and less complicated.
Ciao, have a nice week!

Hi Elena,
Birds never care what was happened in TE, good natural shoot, distinct photo to show flying birds in classical posture, thanks for sharing.

Hi Elena,
Good timing and good effect with these two birds, perfect sharpness. Concerning the format, may be a square format to give more effet at your well taken view.

Superb capture dear Elena. Your camera is something for this realization, but your idea, your reaction and your sensibility are evident on this nice picture! I like it and so glad to see you again, friendly

Hej Elena,
i understand your protest against the changes, i share it ! The simple is often the best, no doubt!
I like your photo from Vaxholm, for me its "free as a bird". I have never tried this kind of photos, but i guess it`s not easy. Fine details and colors`.
Have a nice evening.

Hi Elena
Good on you for posting such a simple daily life scene which we usually intend to take for granted. The image is sharp and balanced. I have just returned to the changes and am still trying to find my way around. Tfs, Marlene

Hi Elena,
Finally I get to visit your photos as always very interesting shot, this I like very much the moment of the very good capture, the good definition that it can to see in the wings of the bird, very good color!
Best Wishes,

Hi Elena,
A perfect shot! It is quite obvious that this motive lasted for some milliseconds but you managed to capture it! (Normally good motives seems to disappear in milliseconds, before your camera is ready) I really like the simplicity here! I have not yet decided wether I like the new TE, I am still trying to get used to it!
Kind regards

Hello Elena
Interesting note, one I confess I was ignorant about. Good timing here, capturing the soaring gulls gliding across the sky. Almost parallel to each other, the timing of your shot is perfect. So what do you think about TE now, after a couple of weeks? Actually I don't dislike it too much now, with the new getup and ideas (points not displayed in the thumbnail for example), but the ads are terrible. Then the commercial aspect of keeping a free site floating, means there's economics to be done...but I wonder if it was the only way!
Best Regards
Angshu

Hello Elena,
A balanced framing of this majestic flight of seagulls. I like much the harmony of this photograph and the beautiful quality of the image as well in the management of the light as in the natural colors. Pleasant moment, thank you Helena.

Hi Elena,
I just discovered this one, coming back from a 4 week travel through France. A splendid shot! Well framed. And a splendid note, well written. It took me about 5 minutes to discover how I could put a photo on TE!
Have a nice day

Привет, Фанни!
Меня действительно сюда привел достопочтенный Уху, вот я и решила попробовать свои силы.
Очень красивая фотография, завораживающая.
А что это за птички, чайки или что-то другое?

Hi Elena,
Funny about this Occam's razor. I just saw on youtube that Evgeny Pluschenko has decided that his quadruple toeloop/triple toeloop combination is not pushing the envelope (even though he is about the only male skater capable of doing it, even coming from 3 years of retirement), so he is doing the impossibly difficult and never before attempted triple axle/quadruple toeloop. I fear the Czar will fall victim to this Occam's razor theory. Interesting how I was thinking of Pluschenko and found the theory at the same time.
Sorry, to the picture: I generally love any kind of birds, and these two birds form a simple position against plain blue and white that looks like perfection to me.
Hopefully Zhenya will figure out this Occam's razor thing in time. The only thing I really want to see in this upcoming Olympics is him with gold again.
