Photographer’s Note

The barrage on the Grand River in Galt is located just to the north of the Queen Street Bridge (renamed the Park Hill Road Bridge in 2002). The bridge was erected in 1933, possibly as a part of make-work projects during the Great Depression. These two men are fishing, apparently, although we all know the object of fishing is not necessarily to catch fish. After all, who will clean them (the fish, that is)?
