Photographer’s Note
A good sunny patch just as I was approaching the majestic Mt. Cook.
The peculiar cloud formation above its summit keep on changing its shape but it did not move away. 2 hrs later a storm came to this region and the top of all the mountains disappeared.
Mt. Cook ( 3754 mts ) is a popular destination for climbers, it is well respected as it has claimed several lives.

It appears that I had the same problem with Mount Cook. It was a beautiful weather along that road and miserable when we arrived at the information center.
For the picture, it is quite interesting.

At least you got to see My Cook Gus,
When I went it was low clouds all the way so we didn't see it at all! This photo has 2 intriguing parts - the dull, vegetation and road in the foreground and the sunny and suitably faded distant mountains. (And the bonus of a UFO over Mt Cook). A good one Gus.
