Photographer’s Note
Cloud Gate is British artist Anish Kapoor's first public outdoor work installed in the United States. The 110-ton elliptical sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly polished stainless steel plates, which reflect the city's famous skyline and the clouds above. A 12-foot-high arch provides a "gate" to the concave chamber beneath the sculpture, inviting visitors to touch its mirror-like surface and see their image reflected back from a variety of perspectives.
Shot at night the lights of Chicago lend the photo an interesting sephia like tone

what a cool nightview of the windy city and the wonderful sculpture! :-) the brown tones and the
lights are fantastic, as well as the reflections on the shiny metal. too bad that was not there yet when i
visited chicago in 1994. excellent job & best wishes, thor.

Hi Dinkar,
I have seen a lot of photos of this sculpture but this is my favorite. I love the colors and the lights from the buildings.
Cheers,
Philip
