The lavender fields in Banstead are looking particularly beautiful at the moment. And the scent and colour of the wonderful plant is quite amazing.

hello Roberto,
my first thought was that this must ave been taken in provence or some such place and am pleasantly surprised that it is in the UK. I like the way you have filled the whole frame full of lavender. I feel tha I can almost smell their perfume.I like they way the people are caught by the light,especially on the arms and hair of the woman.A well balanced and pleasing composition.

siamo abituati ad associare la lavanda alla Provenza, è sorprendende ritrovare questa distesa colorata sul suolo inglese. Ottima l'idea di far dominare lo spazio dal colore, l'inclusione delle persone è il tocco in più.

I couldn't imagine there was lavander fields in England ! I love the way you composed the photo, the people are perfectly placed. I love the purple / blue atmosphere.

Besides this stunning view of a sea of purple stems the two onlookers and their poses really add an additional intrigue. With either alone the shot would be a winner. The distinct swathe of sharp stems in the middle ground makes for a perfect depth in this shot. The light is just excellent and the technicalities.........

But it is this couple. Out for a day to the Lavender fields. Taking it all in, colour perfect and reflection splendid on her white dress... capturing a close-shot, while you capture one from afar. The light and shadows and spots of sun on their bodies, a tattoo or two perhaps?

It is a fine story here... and a very pleasing shot to see.

I can only imagine the overpowering scent, must feel like walking into parfume factory :)
I like the photo a lot, the tight framing emphasises the abundance of the lavender, and selective focus creates an impression of movement in the plants. great shot, my compliments.

Excellent shot Roberto! A gorgeous sea of purple with the two figures placed perfectly to break it up. The girl's pose, and her summery white dress really helps to set the scene. Nice one.
