Photographer’s Note
One of famous tanneries in Fes. They use methods practically not changed for hundreds years and "mysterious" ingredients” as cows urine and chicken droppings. As you can see that day they were making yellow leather. On the right side there is black sheep wool drying. Beneath are tanks containing stuff used to process leather and a large drum used for washing final product (which process must be long and accurate if you consider “chemicals: used).
Finding this place was not easy – practically impossible without local “guide”
