Photographer’s Note
My previous post was from a Science museum in Lisboa, now I present you the more impressive Science Museum of Valencia, the Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe, one of the buildings of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, the complex designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
The sculpture (I guess we can call it that) you see reflected here is a gigantic representation of a DNA molecule.
While browsing the Valencia gallery looking for a view of the building I found only one post of the interior of this museum and none where we can see clearly the outside view of this side of the building, while there are plenty of posts of the exterior of the opposite side. You can take a look at this beautiful blue hour by luighi in which the museum appears on the left (the direction of the POV of this post of mine is pointed by the alignment of the trees).
• WS#1: Another reflection.
• WS#2: A wider view from above.

Hello Dear José,
I see that we are near neighbors again, and what pleasure. The model of the double-helix you've shared with is intriguing and enigmatic, and immediately captures one's attention. You've chosen an imaginative vantage point for the photo, and managed the light well, avoiding silhouettes against the bright light.
Warm regards to the family,
Bulent

Perfectly placed geometric pattern. The effect is like floating in a surrealist painting.

i think it's a nice contribution to the TE knowledge.. i like the view of the dna molecules and the people's curious looks.. but one your WS has attracted me much more than this one.. the vertical one.. it looks more simple than this one..
best wishes,
rela

Great self-portrait José; do you always curl your lip when concentrating!? ;D Very intriguing view of the sculpture. It is so difficult to relate it to something so tiny we can't see it with the naked eye. You have presented a fine trilogy again, showing us different angles of your subject. I also appreciate the links to the work of others. I have only ever seen photos of Calatrava's work. I would love to see it in reality.

Hola Jose,

Dear Jose
This DNA molecule sculpture is very impressive and informative at the same time. It really would be worth to pay a visit to this science museum. Thanks for sharing it with us. Actually the shot above is in my opinion the best of the three you showed in TE. It's well framed and executed with great sharpness, nice colors and fine DOF. The visitors looking at the DNA make your picture more lively and boost DOF further. Congrats
Best regards

the exaggerated perspective works really well here to create an interesting "twist" to the taditional museum photo. I quite like that you have included the people in the frame, after all the instalation is about the essence of life :)
