Photographer’s Note
This is one of the small bays at Largs, a small coastal town on the River Clyde, S.W.Scotland.
The monument is called, "The Needle" to commemorate a battle between the Vikings and the local population. Around 1250 A.D. There is no record who won.
The Vikings landed here, because the weather was very stormy.
