In India people dont perform pooja for Lord Shiva's idol wit face. Instead, there will be Spherical Stone Idol. And in front of all the Shiva Idol there will be a Bull idol, this is because Bull is believed to be the vehicle of Lord Shiva.
It is also believed that it is good to View Lord Shiva through Bull's Horn. This is photo depicts the same
