Photographer’s Note
Wedding in rural China is still very much communal event. The courtyard is clear to turn into banquet hall and open air kitchen. Dishes are prepared in full sight of guests and neighbours and relatives turned out to help each other. The whole community is invited. With limited seats, guests take turns to come and enjoy the festive food and drink. Here, the food is dished out to be served to the guests.
