Photographer’s Note

Another few busloads of 'terrorists' (aka tourists!) slip and slide on the Athabasca Glacier during a photostop along Highway 93, or, as it is better known, the Icefields Parkway, between Banff and Jasper. This drive is justifiably known as one of the great drives in the world, and a landscape photographer's paradise in any season: on this day, we had just had a half-hour delay because of a brief but heavy snow shower, reducing visibility to just a few metres.

Ah - tourists!
This photo works really well Jeff.
If you look at the background it looks like a grey scale shot but the tourists with all their colours and cameras provide great contrast.
