Photographer’s Note
Hi,
This is one of my new photos from yesterday. I spent few hours looking for the Sun, but the weather was...of course crap. However I found many interesting models where I was. I'm showing you one of them.
This picture was taken in Balbriggan.
Balbriggan (Baile Brigín in Irish) is a town in the northern part of Fingal county, within the historic County Dublin, Ireland.
It's one of those harbours that is a mixture between a working port and a dead port. There are a few trawlers there that are obviously still in use but mostly, it comes across a little stagnant.
I would recommend it if u were looking for a nice place to stay on a sunny.
Cheers!

Hello Daroiusz,
The unwilling weather continues to make you a specialist of sculpted grey skies...
A fine scene with a moody atmosphere, looks like an era is closed without finding much of a successor ?

Paul

Hi Dariusz,
this seems to be another DRI (or is it HDR?...I haven't figured out the difference yet) picture. This old boat is a real eye-catcher with the various colors on the shell. As usual, the sky is overcast but it suits the general mood.
Best,
Philippe

Czesc Darek!
Cette photo me plaît beaucoup. Je trouve que c'est une œuvre d'art. La composition, la lumière et le graphisme sont d'une très grande qualité. Le bateau agonisant a encore très belle allure.

Hello Darek,
The subject suits the mood of the sky perfectly. I like the way you have framed lying diagonally at the bottom half of the frame with the town in the background. Tones and textures are beautifully rendered. A fine study in dereliction.

Hi Dariusz,
It looks like summer in Ireland this year is the same than in Brittany, a crapy one ! Nice shot anyway, with an excellent framing and a perfect sharpness.

hi Dariusz,
a great dramatic scene and the heavy weather has a great part in this mood.
a good and sharp composition ; the eye is attracted by the dead boat on the foreground and its hull already re-coverd by green algae.
the POV makes us think the boat emerges from the depth, among a clear water, well enlightened.

Hello Dariusz,
it makes quite an impression to see that sky in August but the image is pretty good! The sunken boat fills almost the whole photogram and forms a kind of diagonal. I like the superb colours and textures of the hull and the reflections on the shallow water. It's so vivid and alive that one can almost touch it!
The hole harbour seems silted up and forlorn, I wonder why?
(I see you have done a great job with those lighthouses lately...)
Best greetings,
Donato

Hi Darek,
It is an impressive composition. I like the graphism that you have obtained with this ship died on the sand of the port, in a melancholical and a bit sad but very attractive image.
The light of a grey and cloudy day, the colors and the quality of image are superb.
Well done.
Best regards,
Josep

Przygnebiajaca atmosfera, niczym z jakiegos horroru, tylko czajacych sie rekinow, ewentualnie piranii brakuje :)
Wspaniala kolorystyka.

The light is just fantastic on this image but i also like the circular lines created by the diferent features. It gives almost a fisheye effect. Very goed work at my opinion. Congratulations

Hi Dariusz,
Very nice HDR work here, the subject is very interesting and well framed in the photo.
No doubt that HDR works well for "crappy" weather. I did the same with one of my photos from Easter Island.
good work

Splendid warm rusty tones and then the Irish pastel grey tones :)... clouds, too add nicely to it and there is something so beautifully melancholic about these rusting old boats
