Church of Zyrardow Photo

Photographer’s Note

Holy Mother of Consolation Parish Church in the city of Zyrardow (Żyrardów). The church was founded by the Sobański Family and Karol Dittrich and built from 1900 to 1903. It was designed by Józef Pius Dziekoński in neo-Gothic style. The church was patterned on Köln Basilica (eightfold lowered) and it has two 70 meters tallness towers. The interior is decorated with the flowery motifs of stain glass windows made by Franciszek Białkowski according to the design attributed to Józef Mehoffer. The church furnishings refer to the Gothic style.

A great capture of this magnificent church. Lovely colour contrasts between the vibrant red bricks and the fine blue sky. The cars are not too numerous to spoil the view and offer a god sense of scale. The man in the foreground contributes to the mood.

Stunning details in the eye-catching architecture!
The red bricks stand out so well in contrast with the blue sky, and I'm impressed by the sharpness in the details...
A well framed view, the touch of green foliage also adds to the colour contrast!
