Mini TE meeting, Aires (AiresSantos), Goncalo (Bluejeans) and me did a small meeting in the Nations Park to take a coffee and some pictures.

This was my first shooting experience with a moving train.

The East Station is situated at a distance of 5 km from the heart of the old city of Lisbon and was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

The frames, like trees, support transparent glass roofing that provides both shelter from the weather and a scenic view over the EXPO area.

At night the internal lighting makes the building even more permeable, making it even more fascinating by enhancing its lightness.

I hope you guys like it.

Olá Filipe,
Eu ia dizer que faltavam pessoas na foto, para dar vida e dimensão à imagem. Mas depois vi melhor que é um comboio-fantasma, que desaparece lá mais para o fundo. Ficou um efeito extraordinário. Muito interessante.

sei stato bravo e fortunato a trovare la stazione libera per tenere l'esposizione di 4 secondi senza ombre e fantasmi.
L'esposizione è ottima per esaltare la splendida architettura di Calatrava, tecnologia moderna e linee antiche.
Molto bravo anche a catturare il treno in movimento.

Great work, Filipe. You seem to have a knack for forging gorgeous images from difficult settings and light conditions! Wonderful shot here: you have masterfully captured the speeding train, the orange glow of the platform, and the imposing architecture to transform an ordinary station into an enchanting palace of light and movement. Une version différente de celle de Aires mais qui me plait peut-être encore plus. L'utilisation du train en mouvement et les couleurs chaudes associées au graphisme de l'architecture sont du plus bel effet.

This is a sensational photo in every respect, from conception to implementation. The time exposure has produced a highly successful image of a ghost-like trains station. The fact that it is deserted, with the blur of train passing through, the classic display of one-point perspective, the resolution... Congratulations.

This is not the first picture I’ve seen of this beautiful Calatrava railway station, but certainly one of the most spectacular. Especially with speeding train vanishing at the end in the air.

Hi, Filipe. The moving train traces a very good lien in the image adding to the perspective of the platforms and the rails. I like the orange atmosphere contrasting with the colour of the passing train. The roof of the station adds to the graphic qualities of the image.

I find the perspective view excellent! the traces of the moving train add some ghost-like effect to this scene. In fact, the photo also appears to have rather a curious stereoscopic dynamic effect (maybe it only seems so to me?).
I also wonder about the orange tint: is it the effect of the camera settings or is the lighting really so orange at the station?

I like the long perspective under the superb Gothic type arches. The train gives a great sense of dynamism to the image; whilst the orange tones cast by the lighting creates a feeling of eeriness on the empty platforms.

The station itself is an architectural marvel, and your photo really brings out the superb graphism, with strong perspective and great exposure of the speeding train. A real sense of speed is created, but also a fine impression of the station itself. And not one person in sight! Interesting note, too.

This picture is really stunning. The building itself has something outstanding about it, with its golden ribbed vault that makes it look like a gothic cathedral. The perspective is fabulous and the leading lines give a nice depth to the image, guiding the eye to the station exit. But then you notice that the train is going in the opposite direction and it brings you back to where you started from. You did a great job here, Filipe.
