Photographer’s Note
Skansen Brannstasjon, or in English: Skansen Firestation. It was built in 1903 at the place where Bleken Farm had its place until 1902. The building was in use as a firestation until 1968. It is placed in the hillside, 62 masl., looking out over the city center. The early years, with not so good telecom - or no telecom at all - and mainly horses for transport, it was important for the firedept. to detect prospective fire in their area in an early stage. In doing so, they had a good opportunity from the 14 meter high tower. The reservoir in which the old firestation is reflecting, was built in 1881 and enlarged in 1901. It enabled the firedepartement to get the pressure they needed at the water. As an object to preserve, this is unique in nordic context. The mountain, wich top is hidden by the building, is Løvstakken, 477 masl.

Hi Erling,
wonderful view, I like the light and reflection. Maybe it's a bit too tilted to the right.
Well done!
