Photographer’s Note

The valleys above DeBeque, Colorado offer a taste of the rapidly vanishing West. Real cowboys still run their ranches, where they still hunt their meat, cut their hay, and rope their cows. A family friend lives in this valley, tucked away from the rush of the world. He has a handful of horses, one of which is pictured here. I had rubbed it down and fed it the night before, so we became fast friends. I could hardly get it to stay still for pictures because it kept nosing me for more food!

Es una fantastica captura y composicion amigo.
Tengo una foto muy parecida en mi galeria pero esta me gusta mas por su nitidez y fabuloso encuadre , te felicito , buen trabajo.

this is a fine horse portrait, the colors are rich and very natural to my eyes. I was just wondering what it would have looked if you had taken a wider perspective of this scene. Have one ?

Wow, what a beautiful horse. I like the contrast of its warm rusty colored coat against the greens in the foliage. I also like its expression. I can tell you have bonded with him. I would have liked to see a little more room on the left of the horse for a bit more balance. Very nice portrait.
