Photographer’s Note
This was one of the photos taken almost a year ago at Williamstown, looking back at Melbourne City with the marina in the foreground right and the last few minutes of sunlight for a spring day of 2008.
I have not been shooting that much lately so I end up scavenging through some of the old photos which are considered not quite acceptable for posting, nevetheless I have done it out of desperation:))

Hey Alfred,
Very nice seascape photo, wonderful water and sky. The masts from the boats made the photo more dramatic as well as an important element here. You did a good shot!
Best regards,

Hello Alfred, I have hundreds of the type of photos where I think they are not quite good enough for posting but as my PP skill improves they get a new lease on life. I don't know why you had to wait to be desperate before posting this, it has lovely warm golden tones, exceptional lighting and a very impressive dramatic sky. I also like the bunched up boats with their upright masts, they well reflected in the water.
This is a lovely spot, well captured, I'm sure Bill would love it.
Thanks
Take care
Santo

Alfred,
The low angle lighting gives the scene a nice warm glow. The reflection adds depth and balance for the scene. Your composition is fine showing the boats in the foreground with the city in the distance.

Hi Alfred,
Beautiful old photo, why not? For me it is still new, impressive golden view, good perspective to show the parking boats and background city in a distance, distinct photo, well done.

Hi Alfred,
there is no need to hide your light under a bushel! This is a beautiful impression in every sense, the golden light makes it very attractive and the sky is simply wonderful. I also like the reflections. My compliments!

Hi Alfred. i wish my moments of desperation would lead me to such lovely shots. The colours are superb, especially the way the dark clouds and the darker parts of the water match, while sandwiched in between the two you got the beautiful warm hues and glowing light. Really nice work. See you soon. I hope the **#!! weather improves, or it will be a case of déjà vu.Klaudio.

Hi Alfred
The light is stunning here and I really like the sharpness of the boats and how you can make out the city behind. Great sky too.

Hi Alfred. I hear you made a comeback to this place again today under the hospitality of local tour guide Santo! We haven't seen enough of your photos lately. This one's a beauty, the light shining off the boats and water is just beautiful and your DOF is so sharp I'm really envious. Stay well and we'll see you all soon again, Lisa.

Hello Alf,
This is a very nice PoV of the marina and the sun was favorable as well for lending the beautiful light it did.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Alfred
Don't be so hard with yourself ;) this photo which is for you not so good, is for me very pleasant to look at ;))
The luminosity, the lovely colors, the reflections of the masts, the depth are excellent!

I love marinas (I'm a sailing enthusiast) and this golden light and reflections are really worth while!
A composition which reminds of Tintoretto paintings, well balanced and with a fine serene atmosphere.
(By th way, I shot a similar photo myself but I haven't posted it yet)
Compliments,
Donato
