Photographer’s Note

This is the village house of a friend I met in Ben Tre South-west vietnam. This is a typical village house where we had to walk to using a narrow path suitable for only motorcycles and bicycles. It is a single storey wooden house with rooftops normally using leaves but because the leaves dont last, this house has it changed to the standard zinc roof. I find that it was hot inside since the roof is made of zinc. In Malaysia my country the village house of the Malays will normally be on stilts whereas the Chinese will be something similar to this. There is no proper toilet for this one and I had to "do it" at the stream at the back but for village people this is a common practise so they are used to it.

What a different between the Western world and the villages in Vietnam.
Excellent perspective through the nice choice of your angle.
You did very well you shows this house to the world, this is perfect.

dear Tan,
a nice view shot of the quiet and tender house and surroundings.
the red wear girl and the blue bicycle in green circumstance are impressive.
very hot and wet climate look making people's life style so simple like this.
I like this feeling of slowly passing time.
